Rimini, 10th October 2018 . At Rimini Expo Centre the Minister for Tourism Gian Marco Centinaio will officially open the exhibitions that Italian Exhibition Group is dedicating to the tourism industry from Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th October: TTG Travel Experience, SIA Hospitality Design and SUN Beach&Outdoor Style.
Minister Centinaio will speak at 2:30 pm in the Innovation Arena (South Foyer) along with Emilia Romagna Region President, Stefano Bonaccini, the mayor of Rimini and President of Destinazione Romagna, Andrea Gnassi, and Italian Exhibition Group President, Lorenzo Cagnoni. This will be followed by a conference entitled Hacking Airbnb.
´I want to give a sign of attention and move up a gear´, stated Minister Centinaio ´I shall be a minister who is a ´colleague´´ of the people who are at Italy´s most important B2B expo. As a trade member, I think TTG is one of the most important opportunities for perceiving and receiving information.´

The exhibitions occupy the entire expo centre, with proposals from 2,550 exhibitors; 150 destinations are represented. 1,500 buyers are awaited from 90 countries.

TTG Travel Experience
On the three expo days Italian Exhibition Group will propose international buyers the great offer of TTG Travel Experience with a complete overview of Destination Italy alongside contents that IEG will sum up in a program involving the leaders of ´tourism knowledge´ at international level for an insight on future scenarios, with over 200 events scheduled. At the expo centre there is also The World area, with the major international destinations interested in developing business with tourist agents, and Global Village, which will host tour operators and enterprises offering products and services for tourism, addressing the distribution network. Worthy of note, among the 150 destinations represented, the debut at the expo of Kazakhstan, Andorra, Principality of Monaco and Nepal, whereas Mexico is the 2018 Partner Country. No less than 59 airlines are at the expo.
TTG Travel Experience focuses on a world made up of 1.3 billion people who travelled abroad in 2017 (WTO figures), 51% arrived in Europe (+7%) and in the first half of 2018 there was a further rise of 6%, with Chinese tourists ruling the roost (20% of the world total). There are a lot of problems to be solved, such as overtourism, which will have ad hoc focuses and analyses at TTG. Foreign travellers in Italy spent 39 billion euros (7.7% more than 2016) whereas Italian tourists abroad spent 24,24 billion euros (8.9% more then 2016).

SIA Hospitality Design
There is eager expectation for the new project by IEG in the context of the Hospitality Week, from Tuesday 9th (the first day at Rimini´s Palacongressi conference centre) to Friday 12th October 2018 in collaboration with Teamwork. As well as the B2B event with a busy program of seminars, conferences, training and informative events with the participation of international speakers, there is also ROOMS - SIA Hotel Design Lab, a large (1300 sq.m.) exhibition with new concepts dedicated to hospitality: 12 full-scale proposals for hotel rooms, each by an internationally famous designer. The halls also host other installations by prestigious designers, associated with the various product categories. It will therefore be design, particularly that from Italy, that inspires an expo that for 67 years has been the only expo opportunity dedicated exclusively to the hotel industry.
SIA Hospitality Design addresses a scenario of 33,166 hotels in Italy, with a total of 1,091,061 rooms and 2.248-225 beds. The positive trend of investing in the hotel sector in Italy also continues in 2018. The value of hospitality facility transactions reached around 1.2 billion euros in 2017, with an increase of 10.5% compared to 2016.

Sun Beach&Outdoor Style
The expo showcase, which occupies an increasing amount of exhibition space, is all aimed at the beach world, outdoors and camping. As well as the focus on innovation on the beach there are also the Best Beach and Best Beach Bar contests, as well as the fast-moving camping world with the explosive glamping trend which in the Camping&Village Show area will feature mobile homes, bungalows, equipment and accessories for campsites and holiday villages, plus Sunaquae with products dedicated to swimming pools, water parks, floating parks and wastewater treatment and management.
The global Outdoor Furniture and Decor sector is constantly expanding: by 2022, studies carried out by TMR (Transparency Market Research) forecast a turnover of around 1,600 million dollars, with an annual growth of approximately 5%. The basic factor is due to the fact that the culture of outdoor life is spreading throughout the world, resulting in a demand that hospitality facilities must meet.

The expos are held with the patronage of Enit, Emilia-Romagna Region, Federalberghi, ADA and EHMA.

Rimini expo centre can be reached directly by train, thanks to the on-site railway station (on the main Milan - Bari line) just 50 yards from the expo´s south entrance.

Focus on Italian Exhibition Group
